The event has gathered project partner representatives from Split Water and Sewerage Company Ltd. and PI RERA S.D., the representatives from FGAG as host, as well as external experts working on the project. The main goal of the organized study visit was to present to the participants the currently installed pilot action equipment developed in the frame of the project City Water Circles - CWC co-financed through the Transnational cooperation program INTERREG Central Europe 2014.-2020. The project aims to help municipalities to reform outdated urban water infrastructure systems via applying a circular economy approach, which offers many economic and environmental benefits.

FGAG representative - assistant professor Ivo Andrić, PhD and Waveform representative - assistant professor Petar Šolić, PhD pointed out that the main goal of the developed pilot action is raising awareness of water consumption by real-time monitoring on FGAG, and its dashboard-like display in the faculty hall. To implement the pilot, it was necessary to analyse the available IoT technologies (Internet of things technologies) and select the one that meets smart water meter installation requirements. By using the best available option, smart water meters were built-in at three locations with different consumption patterns, based on their purpose (offices, classrooms, restaurants). The results will be used for time analyses, malfunction detection, and educational purposes.
