TRANS TRITIA at the meeting of the Working Party on Inland Waterway Transport held at the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe in Geneva.

Since 1956, the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe has been working for sustainable and efficient waterborne transport. The European network of inland water transport of international importance covers more than 29 000 km and more than 400 ports and terminals.
Inland waterway transport is a safe, multifunctional, reliable, economic and environmentally friendly mode of transport with as yet unexploited opportunities and growth potential. Project Trans Tritia representatives were invited to attend the 63rd session of the Working Group on Inland Waterway Transport held at the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe in Geneva. The event was attended by numerous international organisations and representatives of those involved in improving the development of waterways.
On November 6th, representatives of the TRANS TRITIA project, Ms Aleksandra Krawucka (Project Manager - LP) and Mr Pavel Santarius (PP3) The TRANS TRITIA project team gave a presentation during the workshop "Integration of inland waterway transport in multimodal transport chains and logistics".  The opportunity to participate in such a high-level meeting was an excellent opportunity to exchange knowledge and good practice as well as to contribute to the shaping of the current legislative work at the United Nations level, which can have a binding impact on world transport policy.
