CE-HEAT at the E-nova 2018 international conference
22nd- 23nd November 2018
Forschung Burgenland has attended the E-nova 2018 international conference in Pinkafeld, Austria with an booth to present results made in the last project period.
The conference aims at bringing together scientists and researcher from several countries discussing aspects of digitalization. Moreover in about 45 lectures, representatives of the scientific community as well as practice-oriented professionals talked about topics such as building information modelling, networked and smart buildings, energy efficiency, heat pump technology and their integration or buildings in an eco-social context. The scientific program of lectures was accompanied by a poster presentation, a company exhibition (five-minute presentations) and the publication of the conference proceedings as part of the series Science.Research.Pannonia.
Digitization and networking naturally also offer us new possibilities in building technology, but also bring challenges. We are currently learning a lot from the new generation of experts. The sessions of e-nova 2018 were presented by experts from the Burgenland University of Applied Sciences and Research Burgenland as well as by national and international speakers from the Technical Universities of Vienna, Budapest and Bratislava, the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences Vienna, the Universities of Applied Sciences Upper Austria and Carinthia Danube University Krems, the University of Biberach or the companies AVL List GmbH, AIT - Austrian Institute of Technology, 4ward Energy Research GmbH, GAP solution GmbH, ATP sustain GmbH.
There was also a specials session called “future heat pumps”. The attendance were interested researchers and scientist who were the target group to network on. Especially in Burgenland less industrial waste heat is found due to the economic situation compared to other regions in Austria. Therefore the building sector is considered potential future for waste heat utilization.
