Project kick-off

Association Mala filozofija hosted HICAPS - HIstorical CAstle ParkS Kick- off Meeting, which took place on 21st and 22nd of June 2017 in Zadar, Croatia.

The meeting was attended by representatives of all ten partner organizations from countries of Slovenia, Italy, Poland and Croatia. The meeting was also joined by Interreg Joint Secretariat Ms Alexandra Kulmer.

First day, after greeting all participants by the representative of project leading organization „Municipality of Velenje“ from Slovenia and representative of the hosting institution „Mala filozofija“ in Zadar, project manager presented in shot HICAPS project after which Joint Secretariat pointed out the most important things to which attention should be paid during the project implementation. The next part of the meeting was devoted to formal issues of the HICAPS project, following the topics of project management, financial management and communication activities.

Brief presentations of all partner organisation followed what provided a deeper insight into their overall work.

The first day of the meeting was concluded with a press conference in which were presented flowing project: HICAPS (project finances the European Union funding program Interreg CENTRAL EUROPE) and a Civic action „Sfinga - a place for socializing“ as part of the project Art of democracy in the Euro-Mediterranean region financed by inter-governmental institution of the Anna Lindh Foundation, the Croatian National Foundation for Civil Society Development and Zadar County.

Both project were presented together as they share similar goals. The aim of the civic action is related to the aim of HICAPS project and that is to strengthen the capacities of the public and private sector for the use of cultural heritage and resources through examples of good practice achieved between partner countries. Civic action „Sfinga - a place for socializing“ is a good example of  building active community as its aim is to revitalize community park space in a way to become a place to interact and socialize in nature.

On the second day of the meeting attention was paid to the Project Management, and the meeting was finally rounded up with the final discussion of the project and key issues on which we agreed upon.

So what went on for two days in a row?

In active, diligent and very good working atmosphere a lot of information and ideas sharing went on, project planning and intercultural learning! 

Overall, we can conclude that it was a successful and pleasant HICAPS Kick - off meeting!
