Work Package 3: RI Pilot Actions

Summary

In WPT3 ROSIE partners pilot Responsible Innovation (RI) among local SMEs, to tests the proposals included in first RI Road Maps (WPT2) and facilitate the adoption of RI by Central European SMEs.

The pilot is conducted in parallel in 9 local areas - Forlì-Cesena (IT), Košice (SK), Prague (CZ), Bautzen (DE), Nova Gorica (SI), Sibenik (HR), Zadar (HR), Milan (IT), Lubelskie (PL) – with partners continuously exchanging on results and critical issues emerging.

In order to ensure the effectiveness of this activity, the work with SMEs builds on three steps:

awareness raising through the Open Call (WPT1);
RI capacity building among SMEs;
testing the application of RI in selected companies.

Overall, the activities in WPT3 are structured as follows:

Pilot of RI SME Capacity Building: informational training course developed in WPT1 and delivered for free (online) to any interested SMEs from partner areas in their local language. It includes general presentations on RI concepts, practical case studies and is completed by a self-assessment tool to evaluate the readiness of the company to embrace RI. Course materials are available on the ROSIE workbox;
Pilot of RI Tool Implementation: partners (RI Consultants) support local SMEs in applying the RI tools in their organisations and in understanding how they can embed RI in their business practices;
Knowledge Management and Impact Monitoring: this activity is carried-out throughout pilot implementation, to monitor and compare performances, impacts and results achieved at local level;
Preparation for investment and leverage of funds: using a common methodology, partners undertake an analysis of the opportunities for funding RI Road Maps after ROSIE

All the activities developed in this WP feed into the final RI Road Maps (WPT2).
