FIRST LOCAL TRAINING WORKSHOP IN BRNO
Mobility planners, public transport operators and political representatives responsile for transport in the South Moravian Region and the City of Brno met at common round table to discuss chllanges in day-to-day operation of the Integrated Public Transport system of the South Moravian Region.
At this occasion, 17 local stakeholders became acquianted with the experience from the study visit in Graz which took place in March 2017. The participants of the workshop came to know details about the transport policy guidline „Gentle mobility“ which has been implemented in Graz since 1992 and has offered clear improvement for inhabitants, enviroment and traffic security in the city. The most attracitve topics for the participants of the workshop in the Brno Functional Urban Area were the redevelopment of public space near the main railway station and Park and Ride car parks.
