Strategic online workshop: Budgeting of selected cross- border projects
On 15th April and 24th April two editions of the strategic workshop Budgeting of selected cross-border projects took place. Even though in time of COVID19 it might have been more difficult, TRANS TRITIA project managed to perfectly handle it. The first edition was focused on the Polish-Czech border crossings and project related to them, including budget allocation and its source of financing as well as timeframes and institutions repsponsible for the investment. The workshop started with the presentation of identified Strategic Projects according to Regional Multimodal Freight Transport Strategy in the Poland-Czech Republic cross-border area performed by the Trans Tritia Team of Experts from The Silesian University of Technology. After that, with huge help of the key stakeholders and decision-makers, during the discussions there was defined the time horizon for the projects implementation and projects budgeting and determining funding sources.
The second workshop was dedicated to the Slovak-Czech border crossings, together with Polish-Slovak. During this workshop, we were also very glad that the participation in the online held workshop was no different than the traditionally held one. The issues brought up based on the same topics: Strategic Projects according to Regional Multimodal Freight Transport Strategy, identification of Projects Owners/Responsible for the project, and defining the time horizon for the projects implementation and projects budgeting and determining funding sources.
During hard times like this, we are aware that all of the traditional forms of meeting have to be avoided, but we really hope that everything will come ba back to the normal state and soon we will be disseminate the project results to even more people.
