Your best commuting moment
SubNodes-photo competition ended on 12 August 2018
In order to directly involve the addressed target group, i.e. everyday commuters, the SubNodes project partners started a photo competition. Commuters were invited to upload photos of their best moments of their commuter life. The competition was running for six weeks starting on 2 July 2018. The voting took place publicly via the SubNodes Facebook fanpage. And these are the winners:

Besides the photos, we also asked for people's reasons for their daily use of public transport. Here is a non-representative compilation of the aspects why people are more in favour of commuting by bus, train, bicycle or foot than by car:
✅ nice talks with friends
✅ charging your batteries for or respectively getting away from your day at work
✅ time to read, listen to music or have a cup of coffee
✅ enjoying the view, landscape and moods of nature
✅ travelling in new, well equipped trains
✅ saving money and avoiding stress in comparison to travelling by car
Of course, we also asked for the aspects of public transport, which need to be improved. The following possible improvements were named:
>> one joint transport association between home and workplace
>> increased interval of bus and train rides per day
>> better communication of delays
>> more buses and trains during rush hour
>> punctuality
