The idea of crowdfunding

When business organizations or individuals fund their projects with small donations from many people, then we mai call it a crowdfunding. Thanks to getting the necessary cash flow, the new project may be launched. Usually, these campaigns are made via net platforms where organizers specify timeframes when money should be collected and the amount of money that they need. When campaign's recipients pledge a minimum amount of the fund, they may receive some reward for their contribution. These rewards aren't huge - these are usually based on the size of a donation. the equity crowdfunding allows also to give to contributers some portions of their companies.

Most of crowdfunding platforms have specific rules for its use. for example, the biggest platform - Kickstarter,  doesn't allow to conduct equity crowdfunding campaigns and specifies its own list of items that are prohibited. So, before you start your own campaign, it's good for you to get familiar with rules of the platform that you want to use because your  campaign may fail even before it starts, if you don't do so. Kickstarter doesn't also allow campaigns for sorts of projects in the subject of food, drink or energy, but other platforms do.

Many people think that crowdfunding is an easy and free way of making money. It's important to prepare a campaign that gains attention of recipients. the success isn;t guaranted, unfortunately. There are also examples where campaigns fail. You have to keep in mind, that it becomes popular, so there's quite big competition between these campaigns so yours should be really "special" to gain the proper attention and to be successful.

Using crowdfunding can be a quite big challenge and it takes strong marketing effort, trustworthy founders.
