Transnational partner meeting in Zala

The partner meeting of the CE933 RURES project titled ”Promote the Sustainable Use of Renewable Resources and Energy Efficiency in Rural Regions” being implemented in the framework of INTERREG Central Europe program with the participation of Zala County Government has been held in Lenti on 6-7 May 2019.

The 2-days conference started with the welcome speech by Imre Pácsonyi, vice-president of the General Assembly of the county, then László Horváth mayor of Lenti, the host town introduced the implemented energy-efficiency projects of the city and the ones which are still in progress.

Afterwards, Tomas Pawelec (PNEC) presented the actual status of the transnational strategy and actionplan related to developing alternative financing models for promoting the implementation of energy-efficiency projects. Then the partners spoke about their own pilot actions and investment concepts being implemented in the framework of the project. On behalf of Zala County Government Károly Szabó project manager introduced the plans concerning the energy-yard to be established at Lentiszombathely, speaking about the details of the implementation and the current situation.

In the second part of the day the participants had a discussion on the requested data for the energy-efficiency calculator to be developed, then the program continued with the introduction of regional best practices and the developing process of the calculator. In the followings the participants took a study-visit at Nagypáli, where they were informed about the energy-efficiency program and the implemented investments of the settlement. Tibor Köcse, the mayor of the eco-village held a presentation for the participants.

On the second day of the meeting the partners discussed project management issues, focusing on the tasks of the near future.

As the closing of the meeting the project partners visited the future energy-yard at Lentiszombathely that is going to be developed by Zala County Government, where the representative of the contractor introduced the already finished developments and spoke about the further plans.
