The CE-HEAT project recognized as a good practice in Slovenia

Slovenia includes waste heat utilization in the country's strategic energy concept.
Elektro Maribor, electric energy distributor, organised a regional consultation event about the future development of Slovenian strategic energy concept. The event took place in Maribor on 25th of August 2017. At the beginning, Elektro Maribor's chairman of the board, Boris Sovič, made an analysis of the preliminary documentation, prepared by Ministry of infrastructure and presented some remarks and comments about the content.
The representative of HSE, the biggest Slovenian electric power company, Aleš Osrajnik, pointed out the importance of equal treatment for RES and other less conventional sources such as waste heat utilization in hydro power plants. He emphasised the good practice case of CE-HEAT project as part of an Interreg Central Europe program. The strategic energy concept of Slovenia recognised those alternative sources of energy and sees a development potential in them.
