Workshop event - cooperation opportunities with interested waste heat utilization stakeholders in Slovenia
Ezavod, the event organizer, presented the mission, aims, activities and status to date for the CE HEAT project. Participants were mainly interested in more details about the GIS cadaster and how they can access waste heat information, once it becomes available.
The second part of the presentation introduced the preliminary regional waste heat utilization action plan. As part of this, the waste heat potential and demand opportunities and challenges in the region were discussed. The presentation also covered technology, investment and potential subsidy options.
One of the key outcomes of the open discussion was, that the understanding of waste heat potential and utilization options is relatively low, hence more awareness raising, and capacity and cooperation building is necessary in order to increase the potential of waste heat utilization.
To conclude the workshop session participants were invited to the hydropower plant Zlatoličje, where they gained further insights into the waste heat recovery opportunities and challenges.
