Dynaxibility4CE won the Regio Stars Award 2023

Dynaxibility4CE is proud to receive the Regio Stars Award 2023 for its efforts to promote sustainable urban mobility in Central Europe, in addition to providing capacity-building events in several Central European cities. As the winner of the category ‘A Connected Europe’, Dynaxibility4CE is glad to look back on the three thematical topic guides and successful action plans to promote the themes of Mobility-as-a-Service (MaaS), Urban Vehicle Access Regulations (UVARs), as well as Cooperative, connected and automated mobility (CCAM) in the participating cities.

EU Commissioner for Cohesion and Reforms Elisa Ferreira handed out the price during the award ceremony in Ostrava (CZ) on 16 November 2023 by highlighting the achievements for the local mobility communities and their efforts to modernise and extend public transport measures and reduce the negative impacts of passenger vehicle traffic across the Dynaxibility4CE cities.

Whether its Stuttgarts (DE) plan to integration autonomous on-demand ridesharing shuttles in peri-urban areas, or MaaS implementation strategies in Koprivnica (HR) and Graz (AT), as well as UVAR plans in the cities of Parma (IT) and Krakow (PL), all partner cities aimed to prepare for a mobility plan with a focus on public transport and innovative technical solutions. 

Furthermore, Dynaxibility4CE was able to continue the support of the SUMP Central repository from the Interreg Low-Carb project as part of a wider support action to promote sustainable urban mobility in Central Europe. 

The project coordinator Leipziger Verkehrsbetriebe and the support partners of POLIS Network and Rupprecht Consult, as well as all partners and cities, thank the jury for their selection of our project from a pool of 228 applications across six categories.
