3rd Local Support Group meeting in Croatia

The 3rd Local Support Group meeting was held on 28th February 2018. in Technology Information Centre Međimurje.

At the beginning of the meeting director of MENEA ltd. Alen Višnjić, welcomed all participants. After that, he briefly presented all the undertaken activities by MENEA (participation of kick off meeting in Leipzig, giving input on the Template for the best-practice research, publishing three articles on project activates on MENEAs’ web site, developing pre-investment template for pilot project, cooperation with Regional Energy Agency-North for developing document which includes an analysis of the current situation in Međimurje County and legislation in energy sector). Mr. Višnjić also mentioned what are the following activities in the upcoming period. After that, Mrs. Vrankić presented three measures for which members can vote: car and bike sharing, public lightening and electric vehicles and charging station. SWOT analysis was presented which included all the advantages and disadvantages for every measure individually. Participants mostly discussed about measure number two “public lightning”, where LSG member Mr. Jurica Perko presented a project about integration of charging stations inside of public lightening infrastructure. After discussion participants anonymously voted about measure that they think contributes the most to the energy efficiency in rural areas. The participants unanonymously voted for measure two - “public lightning”. After voting process, Mrs. Valentina Hažić from REDEA ltd. defined the deadlines for the implementation of activities due to Project. Mrs. Valentina also proposed the date for next Local Support Group meeting. At the end of meeting participant from Regional energy agency- North from Koprivnica, Jurica Perko, presented their project. COMPOSE which is financed from Interreg Mediteran Program.

The conclusion of the 3rd Local Support Group meeting was that measure two - “public lightning” has the biggest potential for further development, so due to that, there is a significant potential for added value that will be explored during the elaboration of feasibility study.
