WORK PACKAGE T2

Transfer of smart mobility solutions for rural regions

The aim of the WP T2 work package is to use and apply good experience and knowledge in public transport in the rural areas, which were the output of previously implemented projects Interreg CE and Horizont2020. Demonstration of national transferability and added value of innovative public transport services is being implemented through six pilot activities.

The complete implementation of individual activities consists of successive steps:

1. Analysis of available good knowledges

First, an in-depth theoretical overview of good practice from previously implemented projects is obtained:

2. Study visit

A physical study trip in order to gain face-to-face experience, good advice and recommendations for the implementation of one‘s own demonstration activity are carried out. The activity also includes the implementation of an expert workshop on IT tools to promote seamless journey planning

3. Demonstration activities launch

Based on the gained experience, six project partners implement their own pilot activities, which include investments in IT hardware, additional transport services, leasing e-scooters / -bikes and new bus station signs. For more information, visit the PILOT ACTIVITIES section.

4. Mid-term evaluation of demonstration activities

With the help of experience and research expertise of the lead partner, who contributes with background knowledge to allow better understanding of the potentials and limitations of smart mobility services in peripheral areas, a mid-term evaluation from pilot activities is performed.

5. final report from demonstration activities

After the implementation of pilot activities, a final report summarizing the obtained results and experiences is prepared. 6. tool box The tool-box is a set of tools ready for immediate use by decision-makers in the field of public transport in Central Europe.
