Happy New Years everyone!

Together with new year greetings we would like to present you the Autarky Rate tool. It is now finalized and ready for every house owner or possible stakeholder to use and we invite everyone to do so.

This online tool can evaluate the technical, economical and ecological effects of the chosen renewable energy storage system configuration.

Latent Heat Storage explained

Thermic energy can be stored in various ways. Latent heat storage is not only an environmentally conscious but also a very energy efficient solution.
The pilot of Lendava by our project STORE4HUC will introduce a paraffin-based latent heat storage in the local library building. 

How do latent thermal storages work? What is the paraffin-based solution and what are the challenges at historic sites?

The pilot of a paraffin-based latent storage attached to a geothermal heating system is a highly innovative investment in Slovenia. Lendava’s library, a neo-baroque villa (1906) will be connected to the district heating network and a paraffin cell buffer-based energy storage system will be implemented.

Novi projekt: store4huc

Glavni cilj projekta Store4HUC je unaprijediti i obogatiti strategije energetskog i prostornog planiranja koje su usmjerene na povijesne gradske jezgre usredotočujući se na integraciju sustava za pohranu energije u njih. U projektu ukupne vrijednosti 1.726.608,70 eura FER će razviti programske alate za planiranje optimalnog rada sustava pohrane energije u okruženju povijesnih gradskih jezgri pri čemu se poštuju specifična ograničenja takvih zaštićenih sredina.

Das neue europäische Projekt Store4HUC entwickelt Lösungen für erneuerbare Energien und ihre Speicherung in denkmalgeschützten Gebäuden. 

„Denkmalgeschützte Häuser mit erneuerbaren Energien zu versorgen und diese zu speichern ist oft schwierig: Sichtbare Veränderungen am Gebäude sind nicht möglich und Einbauten oft schwierig. Dafür sind fantasievolle Lösungen gefragt“, so Dr. Wolfgang Hofstetter vom  Klima-Bündnis.
