Transnational Live-Workshop develops solutions for digital prevention services

How to reach the people who are not yet interested in digital health prevention and promotion solutions? – a question, to which digitalLIFE4CE project partners looked for answers in a workshop on 27.11.2018 in Leipzig together with stakeholders from the Saxony region. The best practice solutions of two german start ups provided input for the development of answers.

e-Nova Conference under the motto “Active and digital solution for elderly people”

The University of Applied Sciences Burgenland organized the international e-nova conference on 23. November 2018, which visited about 200 participants from six nations. The projects “digitalLIFE4CE” and “COOP4HEALTHCARE” organized an individual session for the topic “Active Assisted Living solutions based on human factor”.

Launch of „digitalLIFE4CE“ learning & knowledge hub

DigitalLIFE4CE project partners have developed an english-speaking online knowledge platform for the field of integrated healthcare. The "Learning and knowledge Hub" gives access to state-of-the-art knowledge in the field of health care and digitalization in six online sessions. The platform is primarily aimed at health professionals, students, policy makers, regional and public authorities, entrepreneurs and other interested stakeholders.

Seeds for future cooperation between Leipzig and Rijeka planted

In order to facilitate mutual learning and knowledge transfer, project partners Rebecca Winter (VFG Leipzig e.V.), and STEP RI organized an onsite visit and mobility action to Leipzig. The main aim of the study visit was to learn about best practices in the field of integrated digital healthcare solutions in the region of Saxony, with the focus to see which of those practices could be transferable to Croatia and how.

Business Model creation in Mobility Action

On November 5 and 6th 2018, Bruno Kessler Foundation organized a “Business model evaluation” workshop as Mobility action of the DigitalLIFE4CE project. The main goal was to deal with the Trentino Governance Model Trentino Salute 4.0 (TS4.0) and set up an evaluation and possible way to implement a sustainable model.

During the on-site visit on 4th October 2018 the University of Applied Sciences Burgenland got a live presentation of several innovative health applications.

The Saxon State Government under the leadership of Prime Minister Michael Kretschmer came together on 24. September 2018 for the Foreign Cabinet meeting in Brussels to discuss the continuation of the European policy priorities and introduced digitalLIFE4CE.

Saxon Day of Telemedicine: Saxony‘ s politicians support digitalLIFE4CE

Saxony’s Minister of Health Barbara Klepsch and Prime Minister Michael Kretschmer welcomed over 400 participants from the fields of health, politics and science on 17. September 2018 at the "Saxon Day of Telemedicine" in Leipzig. Among 25 projects, digitalLIFE4CE was selected as one of the highlighted projects in the field of digitization in healthcare and telemedicine that were presented at the event.

Become your own health manager

"Gramma is a bit messy and she keeps losing her paper documents: as a matter of fact, she was overstressed because she could not find the folder containing all her medical records and her documents. She has turned her place upside down but could not find her latest blood tests and the ticket for the phlebologist appointment she desperately needed. This was a disaster! She was panicking; the appointment was the next week and she had been waiting for it for over six months. Seeing her like that made me feel useless” - explained Paola.

The main challenges of the nowadays-healthcare system, in particular within the Central Europe area, are represented by its fragmentation and the lack of cooperation between its main stakeholders. Moreover, the research and innovation structure of this field does not allow fruitful interactions among actors: as a consequence, knowledge transfer along the digital healthcare-sector-value chain, is hampered.

In order to test the learning hub, aka Moodle, The Autonomous Province of Trento (PAT) has prepared and sent a questionnaire to the partners to collect feedback and prepare report about testing and made improvements. Therefore after received feedback from partners, PAT will prepare a short description of the necessary improvements of the learning hub.

STEP Ri Science and Technology Park of the University of Rijeka is the premier science and technology hub, facilitating the commercialization of Research and Development and to foster cooperation between the scientific community and industry in the region. They are one of the best business support institutions in Croatia and host our partner meeting in June 2018.

Long night of Research, 13. April 2018, Pinkafeld AT

The public event “Long night of Research” was opened by the governor of Burgenland Hans Niessl and Managing Director of University of Applied Sciences Burgenland Georg Pehm. After the opening, a science talk took place. The aim of public event was to raise awareness for digital healthcare, showcase excellent research solutions and give some general project information. At Long night of Research 350 visitors took part and gained new insights into world of Research and digital Healthcare. Project highlighted excellent solutions at “digitalLIFE4CE booth”.

A new and unique healthcare expert platform took place in Leipzig for the very first time - XPOMET.

Transnational working groups and learning hub with seven thematic learning modules are improving transnational knowledge exchange. Health care actors and stakeholders get the possibility to use state-of-the-art knowledge in the field of integrated health care and digitalization. The international context of the project helps to transfer experiences and generate new knowledge.

Project Partners have established a visualization to showcase excellent solutions and best practice case studies. This solution is called “digital health excellence spots”. Toolbox shows visualization of healthcare innovation potentials, because mapped solutions and case studies are excellent, innovative and transferable to other regions.

CONNECTING INTERREGIONAL COOPERATION TO APPLIED DIGITAL HEALTH CARE SOLUTIONS - Workshop

A great workshop was held in Rome at the beginning of the year 2018, whit the participation of some of the Italian Regional Reference Sites of ProMIS – as organisers – and the European partners of the “DigitalLife”Project.The main goal of the workshop was the creation of the preconditions for strong, long term cooperation in the field of digital health between public and private stakeholders, trying to identify concrete short term and mid-term actions, like joint cooperation in future national and international projects.

The consortium discussed achievements so far and tasks to achieve future goals. The revision of relevant documents led to the development of Digital Healthcare Excellence Spots Transnational & Regional Action plans. Group workshop was carried out to further elaborate activities (learning activities, building up of alliances, hub activities) and to set the base for development of action plan for identified Alliances.

Healthday.si 2017

Healthday.si, a yearly conference on digital health community has been organised in Ljubljana on 6^thDecember 2017. The aim of the conference was to tackle key challenges in innovation in healthcare with a different - lateral approach. The main discussion was around significant challenges in innovation processes in healthcare industry; lengthy commercialisation processes, access to financial resources to develop innovations and weak collaboration between innovators and health experts.
