COCO4CCI built a bridge for CCI into the world of AVM

In March 2022, the COCO4CCI project ended. With their creative power, Cultural & creative industries (CCI) are an incredible source of innovation. And while the demand for innovation is high in other sectors such as Advanced Manufacturing (AVM), the opportunities to connect those two are limited. Building a bridge for CCIs into the AVM world was the aim of the “Cooperation Colliders” developed by COCO4CCI.

In six central European regions, the offer for creatives and manufacturers to meet, learn about each other and collaborate have tremendously improved. Key is the joint facilitation between the support structures for CCI and for AVM that has been established with COCO4CCI and our collider concept.

Over the course of three years, we put all our effort into approaching AVMs and CCIs and to motivate them to collaborate. Through awareness raising, trainings, open matchmaking formats and many individual meetings, the COCO4CCI partnership sparked the flame to 33 cross-sectoral collaborations all over central Europe.

And much more are to come! With the spread of digitalisation, the lack of resources, carbon-neutral production, but also new social challenges, we all, but especially policy needs to recognise the power of cross-sectoral and interdisciplinary collaboration. Learn more about our lessons learnt, our success stories and the recommendations we make to policy to foster cross-sectoral collaboration of CCI!
