21.05.2020 - Final Project Steering Committee Meeting
The final PSC meeting for CONNECT2CE was held yesterday, May 20th. Partners prepared for the Final Conference by discussing Territorial strategies achievements, deliverables completion, project final reporting and promotion after the end of the project.

14.04.2020 - CONNECT2CE is featured in the Hungarian railway technical magazine Indóház
The Hungarian railway technical magazine Indóház published an article featuring CONNECT2CE and its pilot actions. The article is located on page 26 of the April/May edition of Indóház which is currently on sale across Hungary.

The internal technical coordination meeting for CONNECT2CE was held as a web conference on Tuesday, March 24th 2020.

03.03.2020 - Improvements of bus connections from southern Burgenland to Graz
The improvements of bus connections from southern Burgenland to Graz begun on 2nd March 2020 with the extension of two bus lines, providing a better public transport service for commuters who work in Styria. The project was launched after a feasibility study on the CONNECT2CE project was carried out.

12.02.2020 - HŽPP and SŽPP sign the Memorandum of Understanding withinCONNECT2CE
The Memorandum of Understanding on the improvement of international train services between Croatia and Slovenia within the CONNECT2CE project was signed on February 12th 2020 at the premises of the Hotel Esplanade in Zagreb.

10.12.2019. - SMART Pannonia Expert Forum and CONNECT2CE stakeholder seminar in Sopron
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs an Trade has organized the SMART Pannonia Expert Forum in Sopron which was a big and media-effective event. It was a great opportunity to present the CONNECT2CE project and Pilot Action number 4 to a wide audience and high-ranking politicians.

09.12. 2019 - Eurac presents Territorial Strategy of South Tyrol
Eurac presented the preliminary contents of the Territorial Strategy of South Tyrol to Daniel Alfreider, the Council Member for Ladin education and culture, Infrastructures and Mobility, as well as the members of the Autonomous Province of Bolzano. During the event, Eurac presented the main content of the Strategy and discussed the effectiveness of the proposed measures with attendees

09.12.2019 - New prolongation of the cross-border integrated PT service Trieste-Ljubljana
Trieste Trasporti and Slovenske Železnice (Slovenian railways) signed the amendment of the agreement for the extension of the cross-border integrated public transport service (bus/train) between Trieste and Ljubljana, at headquarters of the Central European Initiative (CEI).

06.12.2019 - 3rd stakeholder meeting hosted by HZPP
The 3rd stakeholder meeting was organized by HZPP and was held at their premises in Zagreb. The round table was organized in order to collect feedback from selected stakeholders.

06.12.2019 - Informative meeting in the Veneto Region
An informative meeting was held at the premises of the Veneto Region in Venice. The two main topics of the meeting were CONNECT2CE and the new Veneto Transport Regional Plan

26.-27.11.2019 - 6th Partner meeting in Zagreb
Connect2CE partners met for the 6th time to share the progress made and activities completed in the framework of the project. The two-day meeting took place at the Croatian Chamber of Commerce in Zagreb.

20.11.2019 - Local dissemination event in Pilsen
The Pilsen region held a local dissemination event at the University of West Bohemia in Pilsen. With 35 participants, the event was a success.

31.10.2019 - Workshop on improving inland cross-border intermodal connectivity (Trieste)
The CEI - Executive Secretariat hosted a workshop in Trieste focusing on identifying strategic priorities to improve inland and cross-border intermodal connectivity.

21.10.2019 - CONNECT2CE makes an impact on the Hungarian Parliament House
PhD László Palkovics, Minister of Innovation and Technology in Hungary, used CONNECT2CE project and its pilot activity that explored the possibility of scheduled public transport in the cross-border area of Hungary and Austria, as a good example that will be used to schedule new lines between these areas.

18.09.2019. - Local stakeholder seminar in Ljubljana
A local stakeholder seminar presenting the project results was held in Ljubljana within “European Mobility Week 2019 – Let’s go on foot”. The event was attended by more than 80 participants and was very successful

22.07.2019 - CONNECT2CE intermodal ticket Ljubljana-Trieste
CONNECT2CE ticket can be purchased online to travel from Ljubljana to Villa Opicina by train and then continue the trip by bus, using Trieste Trasporti bus services.

19.07.2019 - CONNECT2CE feasibility study done by Sistemi Territoriali
CONNECT2CE project partner Sistemi Territoriali finalised feasibility study on the application of the transnational tool on regional/crossborder railway and public transport connections in Veneto.

15.-16.05.2019 - 5th Meeting in Ljubljana
On 15 and 16 May, Connect2CE partners met in Ljubljana, Slovenia, for the 5th time to share their progress and activites.

A round table on the theme "Results and challenges of promoting public transport in a cross-border dimension" was held on 18 April, at the CEI headquarters in Trieste.

On 18th April, the presentation of an experimental cross-border single ticket to travel on the vehicles of two public transport operators

18.04.2019. - Integrated ticket is now available
On 18 April 2019, the new experimental cross-border integrated ticket Trieste-Ljubljana will be presented during a dissemination event open to the public.

12.04.2019 - Local dissemination event in Körmend
On 12 April 2019 the Western Hungarian and Eastern Austrian passenger train operator GYSEV/Raaberbahn and KTI Institute for Transport Sciences jointly held a local dissemination event

Project CONNECT2CE – new intermodal service bus/train from Trieste to Lubiana: finalized the agreements to launch the new experimental cross-border integrated ticket.

CONNECT2CE partners gathered for the 2nd Steering Committee in Berlin from 29-30 November 2017.

13.02.2018 - Transnational training in Bruxelles
Transnational training - "Enhancing planning capacities of passenger transport system in Central Europe" was held on 13th of February 2018 at Bruxelles.

19.-20.06.2017 - Project Implementation Training
On June 19-20 2017 project implementation training (PIT) provided project management teams with technical support and advice on how to better implement projects. Tips and hints on how to prepare audit trails and progress reports were provided. Moreover, harmonised project branding and explanation on how to work with design templates and project websites were presented.

13.-14.06.2017 - Kick-off meeting
The Kick-off meeting of the CONNECT2CE project took place at the premises of the CEI Executive Secretariat, Project Lead Partner on 13-14 June 2017. During the Kick-off meeting, partners officially launched the implementation of project activities and discussed the procedures and actions to be put into place in the time ahead.
